Cooking Rajma in an Instant Pot
Rajma (Brown Beans Curry)
Ingredients

1.5 Cup Rajma (Kidney Beans/Brown Beans) : Soak them in water overnight before cooking.
- Step 1 Ingredients
- 3 Tomatoes
- 3 Green Chillies
- Step 2 Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup Oil (Vegetable/Canola/Olive)
- 1/3 TSP Hing
- 2 Big Elaichai
- 1 TSP Carrom seeds
- 1 TSP Ginger paste - or finely chopped.
- Step 3 Ingredients
- 1 Large Red Onion - finely chopped.
- 1 1/2 TSP Salt
- Step 4 Ingredients
- 1/4 TSP Turmeric powder
- 2 TSP coriander powder
- 1/2 TSP Garam Masala
- 1/2 TSP Kitchen King Masala
- 1/3 TSP Sugar
Preparation
- Use a blender to blend Step 1 Ingredients to form a puree.
- Start IP in Saute mode
- Add Step 2 Ingredients and saute for few minutes
- Add Step 3 Ingredients Saute until onions are brown.
- Add the contents of blender
- Add Step 4 Ingredients and saute until most of the water from tomatoes have dried.
- Add Rajma
- Add 3 cups of water
- Manual set IP for 27 minutes.
