Rajma (Brown Beans Curry)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cup Rajma (Kidney Beans/Brown Beans) : Soak them in water overnight before cooking.

  • Step 1 Ingredients
    • 3 Tomatoes
    • 3 Green Chillies
  • Step 2 Ingredients
    • 1/3 Cup Oil (Vegetable/Canola/Olive)
    • 1/3 TSP Hing
    • 2 Big Elaichai
    • 1 TSP Carrom seeds
    • 1 TSP Ginger paste - or finely chopped.
  • Step 3 Ingredients
    • 1 Large Red Onion - finely chopped.
    • 1 1/2 TSP Salt
  • Step 4 Ingredients
    • 1/4 TSP Turmeric powder
    • 2 TSP coriander powder
    • 1/2 TSP Garam Masala
    • 1/2 TSP Kitchen King Masala
    • 1/3 TSP Sugar

Preparation

  • Use a blender to blend Step 1 Ingredients to form a puree.
  • Start IP in Saute mode
  • Add Step 2 Ingredients and saute for few minutes
  • Add Step 3 Ingredients Saute until onions are brown.
  • Add the contents of blender
  • Add Step 4 Ingredients and saute until most of the water from tomatoes have dried.
  • Add Rajma
  • Add 3 cups of water
  • Manual set IP for 27 minutes.
